~~~~~WHAT'S HAPPENING IN THE LEAGUE~~~~~
Merseyside Inter-League starts again March 25th. Mike Cromwell will captain the team during this campaign and is looking for players interested in representing Southport. Please let Mike or Stan Siarkiewicz know if you are interested so that the necessary EPA registration forms can be completed, this includes players already registered in 2011. All registrations will need to be completed on Saturday 25th February when we will be competing in the Inter-League K.O. Cup at J.J.s Pool Hall, Aintree. If sufficient players are interested we may consider entering two teams......so come on lets show the rest of Merseyside what Southport Pool can really produce.
Golden Cue 2012 3 man team event will be held at Vauxhall Holiday Park, Great Yarmouth 12/13th May 2012. Each team must consist of 4 named players and entry is £15 per team with a total prize fund of £20,000. First round losers may also enter the singles event (entry fee £5). Closing date for entries is 17th December 2011. Entry forms available by clicking on link below or contact Norman Jackson.
Norman Jackson is now taking names for a Singles League tournament for non-top 30 players in the Southport League....usually known as Phase A. Closing date for entries is January 29th with entry fee £20.00. Ideally we are looking for 44 players to make 4 groups of 11 with a provisional start date week commencing Sunday 26th February.
This season we will run a Ladies K.O. competition, initially this will be done on an experimental basis and if successful will be adopted by the committee as one of the regular seasons competitions. Any Ladies interested to contact Norman Jackson by 25th January, entry fee £3.00. Provisionally the event will take place at Les Dodds Snooker Centre Tuesday 21st February.

Just to clarify that even though the web-site automatically creates a pyramid structure for cup competitions giving the impression that subsequent draws are already done, the committee still conducts each round on a manual basis and draws are posted here as soon as available.

Huge congratulations to Nick Davey (Fleetwood Hesketh) beating Liam Stanley (Nottinghamshire) 6-3 to become 2011 Champion of Champions. The competition was held Nov 4/5th November in Great Yarmouth with Will Jerram (Coronation Regs) reaching the Last 16. Both players qualified for the Champion of Champions 2011 as finalists from our Winter League Singles competition. The first round of this season's competition kicks off Sunday 13th November.
